In the early days of his daughter Annabel's diagnosis, he found an old PDF on the web with 6 stories from parents who had the same condition as Annabel. He really connected with those stories.
Their power moved him, the humor and joy, pierced the loneliness. "There's other people out there dealing with this. We can too." That became the crux of the idea for The Mighty.
